As everyone knows, one of the best parts about being a teacher is the summer break and this year, I was able to spend my entire summer being a dad. A unique opportunity many fathers don't get, I had 2 months of quality family time.
During those 2 months, I was able to just be with Elijah and every day my love for that little boy grew more and more. His squeals, giggles, and "talking" all came this summer also, which made for very fun, and very noisy, playtime!
Top moments from the summer of Elijah:
- Ya boy changed a whole lot of diapers.
- Talked to a ton of strangers wanting to see Elijah
- Did lots of curls using Elijah (as they say, curls get the girls)
- Lots and lots of laughs
- Lots and lots of matching outfits
Dad-summer was awesome! As summer comes to a close, I'm now excited about watching football games, Thanksgiving dinner, and, of course, Christmas!
