The Life of Eli: Month 10

10 months have come and gone in the blink of an eye. This month was a little rough as half of it was spent sick with a double ear infection along with coming down with an on and off again fever for 3 days. The entire Singleton household was down for a few days but the Christmas spirit kept us going and we got through it.

This month, Elijah has become an expert crawler and had his first two teeth come in! He enjoys playing with toys and is expressing himself more and more these days, even throwing a temper tantrum here and there. Diapers are getting harder to change as he just wants to be on the go. He is defiantly a baby on the move these days.

Elijah's First Christmas

We were beyond excited to introduce Elijah to the most wonderful time of the year! We started out the holiday season with a visit to Santa. Let's just say Elijah was not impressed. We were able to crack a small smile towards the end of our meeting but for the most part, he expressed a deer in headlights look.

We also had a fun filled day picking out a Christmas tree and decorating while listening to Christmas music on the record player.

Oh Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a church service where we were reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season! Later that afternoon, we headed over to the Little household for dinner and presents from Grammie and Grampie. Elijah enjoyed opening his gifts and playing with cousin Keegan.

Christmas Day arrived and we were happy to open presents together under the tree. I'm pretty sure Elijah would have been just fine with a box and some wrapping paper but we got him a few gifts that we thought he would enjoy.

Later that day, we enjoyed a family meal with Grammy J and other family members as we enjoyed food and music around the table. Lots of fun was had as we savored the sweet moments with our boy on his first Christmas.

We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! 2017 brought us so much joy. Here's to hoping 2018 brings just as much adventure.
