The Life of Eli: Month Two

Month two has flown by and if there's one thing we've learned it's that it takes WAY more in the thought process to get out the door. If we want to schedule a time to go to Target, it revolves around eating and napping, and well, that is a process in itself.

This is how we feel about that
During weeks 5 and 6, we saw a lot of growth. Smiling, cooing and head lifts, oh my!

Since Elijah had passed his birth weight, I decided it was time to get on a set schedule. I discovered Moms On Call and not only did it give me peace of mind, it gave me structure - which gave me sanity! I think it actually gave Elijah some sanity as well. I followed the schedule for 4-8 weeks and he fell into it naturally. Eat. Play. Sleep. Perfect!

Elijah started to be okay laying on his own (with me close by, of course) but it was awesome to be hands free as I watched from a distance! He has started to enjoy music like no other, cooing, kicking and smiling along to the beats he listens to.

Tummy time is a favorite as that's when he gets the most talkative. He started lifting and turning his head like a pro, making mom and dad proud of course!

Elijah's highlight of the day is hearing Dad's voice come through the door once Jeremy gets home from work. Those two have a bond like no other. They're best buds already.

Remember when I said bath time was basically a nightmare for Elijah? Well, I think it's safe to say those days are over! We finally found the magic combination of warm water (he likes it warmer like his Mama!), music, and a body sponge insert makes bath time a breeze with NO TEARS! It's glorious and much more enjoyable.

If I had to pick a favorite growth this month, it would be the fact that he grunts before pooping. You guys. It seriously is pretty cute. The outcome, however,  isn't so adorable. It stinks, haha.

Highlights of the month were:
Leaving the house for the first time. Although the first time did freak me out. I was a nervous wreck.

Animal-Footed pajamas.

Being milk-drunk.

Morning snuggles.

Having Dad home for an entire week during spring break!

Visiting Grammie & Grampie.

Celebrating Easter!

Meeting Great Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends!

Celebrating Mama's birthday.

Having a healthy 2-month checkup and surviving 3 vaccine shots.

I've become a little obsessed with this little boy of mine. Even when he's sleeping in his nursery, I find myself scrolling through pictures on my phone just looking at him and smiling. We love him so freaking much! Happy 2 months, little nugget!
