We did manage to keep up with blogging throughout the trip. We'll update our day to day activities of our island life throughout the rest of June. We will then get to the wedding day once we're done with the details of the honeymoon :) Before we start, I have to mention that Sunny of Themba Imagery has updated her fabulous blog with a few images from our wedding and reception. This is just a preview of what's to come on July 2nd! She did a stunning job and we couldn't be any happier with the results.
Alright, let's get this honeymoon started!
Immediately following our reception we said goodbye to our close friends and family and headed to Tampa, Florida for our cruise ship departure. Everyone BUT Jeremy was a little worried about our drive down. We had spent the past week with little sleep while preparing for the wedding so needless to say, we were tired. We were also amped up from all the energy of our guests so we were good to go for the first seven hours. We sung and danced our hearts out all the way down to the edge of Florida. We surprisingly made it to Jacksonville in 4 hours (it normally takes 6)! That's without speeding, FYI. We traveled south a little more (about an hour and a half outside of Tampa) and decided to take a break and catch a few Z's at a rest stop. The sleep was much needed that's for sure.
That morning, we woke and continued our drive to Tampa and boarded the wonderful Carnival Legend with ease. Everything went so smoothly and perfectly! No hassle whatsoever!

Hellooo Tampa! |
About to board the ship! |
Asha finally got her hands on where the cruise ship was headed. It was leading us to the exotic Western Caribbean! Cozumel (Mexico), Belize City (Belize), Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatán), and the Grand Cayman Islands! WOW. What a great surprise! Jeremy couldn't go wrong with a 7 day cruise but these places sounded AWESOMELY AWESOME!
We were both exhausted so we took a much needed nap in our spectacular ocean-view cabin. We spent the first night relaxing in a hammock aboard the ship reading and falling asleep in each others arms (sorry if that last sentence made you want to gag but that's what happened folks). Dinner was amazing. We definitely missed cruise ship cuisine from our last trip to the Bahamas. Time to get fat!
Ohhh la la, ocean-view room! |
